About me:
School: Kindergarten - Thomas Jefferson, grades 1-4 St. Joseph, grades 5-8 St. Stanislaus, 9-12 All Saints, Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University.
I've been living in Freeland for 6 years. I've been married 27 years to Mike. We met, as neighbors, in 5th grade, and started dating when we were 15 years old. Our son, Nathan, is 26 and will be doing his student teaching this year in Industrial Education. He's a gymnastic coach at Bay Valley Gymnastics here in Bay City. Our daughter, Katrina, is 24 and teaches high school P.E. and health in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, and also coaches gymnastics. She is also the Varsity Cheerleading coach at Knightdale High School where she teaches.
I have 4 sisters. Two of them, like our parents, are teachers. One is a hair dresser and the other is a Paramedic.
My husband and I like to travel. We go to Florida every winter, and we've been to Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. We also like boating, visiting zoos and botanical gardens, and spending time with our families.
I began teaching here in Bay City in the Adult Education Program in 1992. I taught math, science, and ESL (English as a Second Language). In 1995 I taught English in Monterrey, Mexico for the summer. From 1993 to 2006 I taught Spanish I, II, III, IV, & AP (Advanced Placement). This is my second year as a Special Spanish teacher. I have over 900 students at Washington, Mackensen, and Immanuel Lutheran. I've also studied Spanish in Mexico and Costa Rica. |
