About me:
Hello! My name is Lisa Leisentritt. Students and staff call me Ms. Lisa. I have worked for the Bay City Public Schools as an Educational Assistant for 12 years. I have worked with students in grades K-8, with my last three years at Washington in Kindergarten. I am a certified teacher and hope to have my own classroom soon.
During my day I help students in the classroom with whole group projects/lessons and do some individual interventions with students who need extra help. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Special Education.
I have lived in Bay City all of my life. I have a 17 year old son and the most supportive parents and brother a person could ask for. During the last six years, I have worked in the campground office at the Bay City State Recreation Area. It is surprising to see each school year more and more parents who recognize me from there.
Working at the State Park matches my hobbies. I love the outdoors from animals to camping to landscaping. I like to walk, read, hike, and ride bikes. I love carnival food once a year and live for popcorn Friday’s here at school. One of my favorite places to be is by water, and I am trying to bring horses back into my life. (I had been riding since I was 7 years old, but took some time off.)
Future goals: Besides accomplishing my Masters Degree and teaching in my own classroom, I would like to get my motorcycle license and learn how to play the guitar.
